She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Charles and Clarice B. Stricklen (Armstrong); her husband Marvin Dettmer; her brothers, Jay Stricklen and Charles Stricklen; her daughters, Sharon Dettmer, Karen Jarrell and Marilyn Young; and her granddaughter Shalon Tucker.
She is survived by: her children, Alan Dettmer (Deborah) of League City, Melinda Scott of Houston and Stephanie Dettmer of Buffalo. She is also survived by grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
