She was predeceased by: her parents, John Laningham and Mae Laningham (Brown); her husbands, Alfred Hall and Ralph Slaughter; her daughters, Johnette Clark and Janie Gafford; and her brothers, Elmo, John and Melvin Laningham.
She is survived by: her son Sonny Taylor (Jamie) of Buffalo, Texas; her sister Shirley Helm of Buffalo, Texas; and her grandchildren, Jeff Taylor, Chad Taylor, Brandi Stevens, Josh Gafford, Cullen Pickett and Hope Bailey. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
