It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carmen Viola Courtwright of Buffalo, Texas, born in Montgomery, Texas, who passed away on December 22, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Vanderbuilt Vick and Elsie Elzoria Rose; her husband Robert Courtwright; her son-in-law Rodney Gore; and her sisters, Gerry Hendry and Claudia Anderson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elsie Allphin and Rhonda Gore; her grandchildren, Ken Williamson, Rod Gore, Rachel Ethridge and Robin Jansen; her great grandchildren, Brayden, Brylee Ethridge, Asha Gore and Olivia Jansen; her brothers, Wilbert and Cornelius Vick; and her nieces, Carmen Roberts and Holly Blue.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Carmen's name to the Alzheimer's Association to help fund research and help those affected by Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
