With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Teddy Byrd of Buffalo Gap, Texas, who passed away on September 8, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Byrd (Hassey) and Alvin Byrd; and his siblings, Jerry Byrd, Merle Holloway, Daphna Whatley, Sue Jones and Jean Irvin.
He is survived by: his wife Merry Ann Byrd (Mize); his children, Teddy Byrd, Jr. (Novella), Robin Evans (Adam), Audy Jackson (Nickey), MeloDee Byrd, Merrilee Barela (Steve) and Kathleen New (Author); and his sister Joan Neill. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
