He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Wilson Stewart (PeeWee) and Dora Mae Canuteson Stewart; and his brother Perry Stewart. He is survived by: his wife Esther; his children, Mickey (Pam) of Buffalo Gap, Cindy Kay Lantrip (Gene) of Abilene and Kerry Stewart of San Angelo; and his grandchildren, Jenn, Juarl, Kate, Kenny and Kristie. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hamil Family Funeral Home (6449 Buffalo Gap Rd, Abilene, TX 79606). A graveside service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Buffalo Gap Cemetery (3226 FM 89, Tuscola, TX 79562).
