He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Clay and Ludie Irene Alston (Evans); his wife Norma Purcell Alston; and his sister Billie Jeannette Rouse (Alston). He is survived by: his son David Alston (Maria) of Kyle; his grandchildren, David Jr., John Paul and Anastasia; his son James Michael Alston (Mary) of Houston, TX; his granddaughter Rachel; his daughter Cynthia Norma Alston Wood (Josh) of Midland, TX; his grandsons, Conner and Sean; and his great grandchild Legend Alston. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and his dear friends.
