It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruben Solis of Buda, Texas, born in Slaton, Texas, who passed away on September 15, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Solis and Pete Solis; and his brothers, David, Tom and Guadalupe "Frosty" Solis.
He is survived by: his wife Olivia (Magallanes); his children, Denise Rudd (Brad) of Slaton, Michael Solis (Josie) of Lubbock, Christina Solis of Slaton, Jacob Gonzales of Buda and Monica Lassman (Brent) of Kyle; and his sister Oralia Gonzales (Louis) of Lubbock. He is also survived by grandchildren, three great-granddaughters, and a fourth great-granddaughter.
