She was predeceased by: her parents, Odon G. Mercado and Leonor Mercado; and her brother Maximo Mercado. She is survived by: her children, Rey Espinoza and Jennifer Espinoza; and her siblings, Helen Castilleja, Alicia Mondragon, Rosa Ramirez (Jesse), Oralia Mercado (Jorge), Sylvia Hurtado, Benny Mercado and Mario Mercado (Rosemary). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
