We bid farewell to Betty Duke Pope in Buda, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 31, 2025 at the age of 98. Betty Duke touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Duke and Artelia Duke; her husband Willie Pope; her granddaughter Katherine Elizabeth Pope; and her brother Robert Duke.
She is survived by: her children, James H. Pope (Linda) of Maine and Joyce Pope-Cain (J. D.) of Austin; her grandchildren, James Cain, Sara Cain Simms (Andrew), Lillian Pope and Marion Pope; and her great grandchild Sean Henry Simms.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Lockhart Baptist Church (315 W Prairie Lea St, Lockhart, TX 78644). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the First Lockhart Baptist Church.
