He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Gommert and Ida Edna Gommert (Hagemeister); and his siblings, Woodrow Gommert, Dorothy Price and Lois Orsag.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Gommert of Buckholts; his son Harvey Gommert (Debbie) of Cameron; his grandsons, Stetson Gommert (Amanda) of LaGrange and Colton Gommert (Holly) of Cameron; and his great grandchildren, Aubrey, Lucas, Harper, Jayci, Grayson, Olivia and Naomi.
