He is survived by: his former wife Joan Hagins; his wife Patsy Arms McWhorter of Buchanan Dam, Texas; his daughters, Janice Elizabeth McWhorter of Pearland and Diana McWhorter Engel (Thomas Chappell Engel) of Durango, Colorado; his grandsons, Michael Burkett of Pearland, Richard Burkett of College Station and Jeremy Engel; and his great grandchildren, Tyler, Cullen, Brycie, Hardy Burkett, Mia and Nicca Engel.
