He is survived by: his wife Kay Burks; his children, Sandy Bednar (Jimmy), Roy Burks (Linda) and Ginny Smith; and his sister Francis Bryan. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
