She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Jackson, Sr. and Minerva Cavitt McGee; her husband Donald Martin; her son Wayne T. Chatman; her grandson Shun Martin, Jr.; and her siblings, Rachel Jackson Tramble, Earnest Jackson, Jr., Joe Solomon, Ervin Amos Jackson and Simmuel Jackson.
She is survived by: her children, Donald (Susan) of College Station, Gary (Crystal) of Bryan, Shun Martin, Sr. of Bryan, Charlotte, Jones (Curtis) of Bryan and Lolita Wilson of Garland, Texas; her grandchildren, Cory, Jones, Curron Jones, Terrence Curtis, Alexandria Wilson, Chrysta Cooper, Taylor Caldwell, Nishea Harris, Quinte Williams, Baylen Mitchell, Tiara Martin and Daebreon Martin; and her close friends, Pamela Martel and Minerva. She is also survived by Eighteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A funeral service was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church (1505 Dansby St, Bryan, TX 77803).
