She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Anthony Hughes, Sr. and Mary Margaret Hughes; her husband Thomas "Tom" David Palermo Sr.; and her brother Charles "Charlie" Anthony Hughes, Jr.. She is survived by: her child Thomas Palermo, Jr. (Jenny); her grandchildren, Lilly and Thomas "Trey" III; her daughter Tina Staples (David); her grandchildren, Evelyn and Jackson; and her siblings, Mary (Dave), Ann (James), Pat, Tommy (Sandy), Joe (Mary), Winnie (late Pat), Humphrey (Linda), Bernie, Ginny, Josey (Craig) and Helen (late David). She is also survived by nephews, over 40 great and great-great nieces and nephews, as well as numerous cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Matthew's (9915 Hollister St, Houston, TX 77040). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Bryan City Cemetery (1109 N Texas Ave, Bryan, TX 77803).
