She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Merchant and Bettie Merchant. She is survived by: her sister Leslie; her brother-in-law Bubba Bishop; and her nieces and nephews, Cali, Josh, Derek (Meagan Bishop), Berkley and Crosby Bishop. She is also survived by numerous cousins, and many precious friends.

Viewing was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Chapel (1515 S College Ave, Bryan, TX 77801). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cavitt Church of Christ (3200 Cavitt Ave, Bryan, TX 77801). A burial will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the Smetana Cemetery (2529 Smetana Rd, Bryan, TX 77807).
