She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Nitch and Mary Nitch (Braczyk); and her siblings, Benjamin, Constance (John) and Leo.
She is survived by: her children, Manya Newell (John) and Avery Buffington (Christine); her grandson Camron Newell (Naomi); and her sons, Alex Newell (Britni) and Colt. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and their children.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hillier Funeral Home & Cremations (2301 E 29th St, Bryan, TX 77802). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (507 E 26th St, Bryan, TX 77803). A burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 2:15 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (2801 Old Kurten Rd, Bryan, TX 77803).
In lieu of flowers, Oma and the family request that memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to one of her favorite charities: St. Joseph's Indian School or Father Flanagan's Boys Town.
