He was predeceased by: his parents, Elias Phillips and Edna Mae Phillips; and his siblings, Berthene, Elijah, Corine, Blossie and Isaiah.
He is survived by: his brother Robert Earl (Josephine) of Spring; his stepchildren, Marya Dancer of Duncanville, Kim Reed-Hartley (Van) of Richmond and Dirk Jackson of New York City; and his niece Chandai Kaye Phillips of Richmond. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hillier Funeral Home & Cremations (2301 E 29th St, Bryan, TX 77802).
