He was predeceased by: his nephew Aaron Sivils. He is survived by: his parents, Hugo Hein, Jr. and Dolores Evelyn Catlin Hein; his wife Mary Hein; his sister Cherie Sivils; his brother-in-law Nathan; his niece Katelyn Bone (Jason); his great-nephew Parker Bone; and his great-niece Lyla Bone.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hillier Funeral Home & Cremations (2301 E 29th St, Bryan, TX 77802). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Aldersgate Church (2201 Earl Rudder Fwy, College Station, TX 77845). A burial was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 11:20 AM to 11:50 AM at the Honor & Memorial Cemetery (3800 Raymond Stotzer Pkwy, College Station, TX 77845).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to Mike and Cheryl Frees, Joel's missionary friends in Kenya, (Jesus Frees Ministries) or SOS Ministries in Bryan, Texas (Save Our Streets Ministries).
