It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Estal Lewis (Bryan, Texas), who passed away on February 12, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy James leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Estal Lewis and Christine Lewis; and his daughter Dara Lewis. He is survived by: his daughters, Jenna (Dustin Hillard), Adria (Jon Stolk) and Amy (Scott Haack); his grandchildren, Weston Roberts, Peyton Haack and Haley Haack; his brother Ernest; and his sister-in-law Sue Lewis. He is also survived by his nieces, nephew, and other extended family.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hillier Funeral Home & Cremations (2301 E 29th St, Bryan, TX 77802). A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Old Smetana Cemetery (2406 Smetana Rd, Bryan, TX 77807).
