He was predeceased by: his parents, Hesekiah Carter and Ruby Carter (Williams); his wife Barbara Jean Pool; his children, Ella and Robert; his granddaughter Yolanda; his great grandchild Brandon; and his siblings, William Carter, Roosevelt Carter, Lorenia Perry and Catherine Adams.
He is survived by: his child Hezekiah, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Demarco Carter (Anika) of Clay, TX, Warren Williams, Eddie Blake, Jr., Patrick Blake, Christopher Neal, Ryan Carter of Houston, TX, Hezekiah Carter III (Carrie) of Bryan, TX, Andrea Sales of Bryan, TX, Brittney Edwards of Plantersville, TX and Tanisha Neal of Houston, TX. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (310 W Martin Luther King Jr St, Bryan, TX 77803).
