Ester Yvonne Courtney Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 3, 2025, at the age of 88, Ester Yvonne Courtney (Bryan, Texas) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ester Yvonne Courtney to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar George and Ether George; her husband Billy; her son Brad; her sister Mable Hare; and her niece Ellen Mason.

She is survived by: her daughters, Dee Dee Leverett and Lori McDowell (James); her sister Pat Perry (Coy); her grandchildren, Aaron Wallace, Courtney Wallace, Cody Courtney (Dixie), Wacey Courtney and Jordin McDowell (Katie); and her great grandchildren, Kyrah Courtney and Derek Courtney.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Northview Baptist Church (1809 Tabor Rd, Bryan, TX 77803). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Restever Cemetery (5103 N Texas Ave, Bryan, TX 77803).

In lieu of flowers, Ester asked for donations to please be made to the Courtney Fund of her beloved church.

“We are so saddened to learn of the passing of Miss Ester. We live a few houses down and my daughter (7) loved going to visit her. We visited the night before we saw the ambulance come. She was a joy in our lives and I'm glad we got to know her.”
