He is survived by: his parents, Lonnie Short (Brenda) of Bruceville-Eddy and Paula Franks of Waco; his wife Terri Short; his daughter Jessica Short (Samuel Jordan); his grandchildren, Levi, Cooper Robins and Kenzleigh Jordan; his sisters, Evonne Short Winter (Chris) of Smithville and Heather Hykkonen (Pat) of Dallas; his nieces, Madeline Steiner and Sierra Winter of Smithville; his nephew Luke Steiner of Smithville; his aunts and uncles, Pam Sheets (Buddy) of Gatesville, Nancy Short of Hamilton, Pat Franks of Gatesville and Harrold Ellison (Shirley) of Kilgore; his sons, Josh Choate (Ashley) of Alvarado and Joey Choate of Waco; his grandsons, Brandyn of Waco and Kadyn of Alvarado; his niece Misti Gonzales (Ginger Weaver) of Corsicana; the mother of his children Melinda Morgan of Teague; and his close friends, Tami Jo Shoquest, Terry Heath, Lynn Armstrong, Cody Tim Anderson, Jack Hodgson, Raymond Kelly Parrish, Jason Wilkins, Tommy Harper, Donnie, Connie Kellett and Jerry Borden.
