She was predeceased by: her in-laws, Zita and Thomas M. Young; her sister Lynn Barnes; and her brothers-in-law, Travis Barnes (Lynn), Howard L. Rambo (Sharon) and Gary Morrison (Kay).
She is survived by: her sister Beth Deaver of Holland, Texas; and her siblings-in-law, Sharon Rambo, Margaret Blackburn (Royce), Mari Kay Morrison and David Young (Elizabeth). She is also survived by 41 nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Always active in the Brownwood community, Veta was a Board member and volunteer of the Brownwood Regional Hospital, Downtown Brownwood Association, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Noah Project and Brownwood State School.
