He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Canant and Verda Allen; and his siblings, Carl and Sherry. He is survived by: his son Nicholas Slatton (Brittany) of Brownwood; his sister Linda Hammonds of South Dakota; and his grandchildren, Christopher Slatton-Boyd of Garfield, Kaden Slatton-Boyd of Brownwood, Jacob Slatton, Tristan Slatton of Brownwood, Nova Jones and Taden Laurles Boyd. He is also survived by 6 nieces and nephews; and many cousins and friends.
A graveside service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Greenleaf Cemetery (2615 US-377, Brownwood, TX 76801).
