She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Johnson and John Scruggs; her husband Anthony Bocknite; and her siblings, Vernon Johnson, Phillip Scruggs and Gayla Walker (Anthony Trawick Bocknite).
She is survived by: her daughter Angelique Ward; her grandson Daniel Ward; and her siblings, Dr. Phyllis Wilson, Sandra Scruggs, Maurice Bey-Scruggs and Michael Johnson. She is also survived by nephews, nieces.
A wake was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Brownwood Funeral Home (2512 Belle Plain St, Brownwood, TX 76801). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
