He is survived by: his mother Fay Smith; his wife Sandee Smith; his sons, Michael Smith (Jessica) of Midlothian and Jason Smith of May; his grandchildren, Dianna, Evelyn, Noah, Benjamin and Jonah Smith; and his brother Robby Smith (Traci) of Lubbock.
