He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cartwright and Mahala Cartwright; his wife Beth Cartwright; his daughter Sheri Shannon; and his grandchild Jackie Gatewood.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Cartwright (June), Brent Silman (Eva) and Kim (Barry Copeland). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home (1106 N Main St, Lovington, NM 88260).
