She was predeceased by: her parents, Overton Harris Nichols and Bernice Polk Nichols; her brothers, Bobby, Ed and Sam Nichols; and her sister-in-law Linda Chism (Odell).
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Douglas Traylor; her children, Jimmy Lee Traylor (Eleise), Roy Glenn Traylor and Michelle Charisse Traylor; her grandchildren, Brandon Douglas Traylor, Brittany Danielle Henly (David) and Mikenna Charisse Traylor; her great grandchildren, Aaliyah, Anzlee and Astrid; and her sisters-in-law, Patricia Nichols and Clara Nichols. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable donations be made in Betty's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
