He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert V. Massey, Sr. (Mayor Massey) and Audree Hopkins Massey. He is survived by: his wife Melinda Brooks Massey of Hillsboro; his children, Sarah, Eric McNeese of Brownwood, Rachel Massey of Austin, Bert and Brandi Massey of Austin; and his grandchildren, Cora, Liam, Rory McNeese, Sammy and Nate Browne.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (208 Austin Ave, Brownwood, TX 76801). A reception will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 3:15 PM to 4:30 PM at 601 E Baker St, Brownwood, TX 76801.
