He is survived by: his children, Elma Berry (Jeff) and Jaime Velasquez; his daughter-in-law Isabel; his grandsons, James Velasquez (Cece) and Joseph Berry (Amber); and his great grandchildren, James, Zaiden Velasquez, Tanner and Audrina Berry.

In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in his honor.
