With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ricardo Rios of Brownsville, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 22, 2024 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Trinidad Rios and Andres Rios; and his siblings, Juan A Rios, Ruben Rios, Magdalena Rios, Lucy Garza, Cande Menchaca, Stella Bush, Mary Benavides and Virginia Rios.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Garcia Rios; his siblings, Reynaldo Rios and Celia Rios; his children, Roxanne Rios, Sue Rios and Ricardo Rios Jr. (Sabrina Rios); and his grandchildren, Melanie Piña, Jaythan Castillo, Matthew Piña, Jennamarie Rios, Tyson Rios and Brooklyn Burse.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A rosary was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home (657 Springmart Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78526). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Our Heavenly Father Catholic Church (9178 Tomas Cortez Jr St, Olmito, TX 78575). A burial was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Buena Vista Burial Park (5 Mc Davitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521).
