She was predeceased by: her parents, Luis Alvarez and Esperanza Lopez; and her siblings, Isabel Alvarez, Olga Alvarez Sosa, Fernando Alvarez, Guadalupe Alvarez and Aide Alvarez Mobley.
She is survived by: her children, Leticia De Leon, Martha Cuevas, Laura Cortez, Hilda Gates, George Pesina, Sandra Pesina, Marquis Hook, Rolando Pesina and Myra Pesina. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home (657 Springmart Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78526). Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Buena Vista Burial Park (5 Mc Davitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521). A prayer was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home (657 Springmart Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78526).
