He is survived by: his wife Felicitas Montelongo; his children, Nancy Galindo, Juan Montelongo (Isabel), Homero Montelongo (Claudia Gabriela), Luis Montelongo (Ivonne), Christian Montelongo, Jesse Montelongo and Ashley Galindo; and his brother Julio Reyna.
A burial was held on Thursday, January 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Guillen Cemetery (9055 Boca Chica Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 4th 2024 at 6:00 PM and on Friday, January 5th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Chapel (657 Springmart Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78526). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
