He was predeceased by: his parents, Maria Otero of Ponce and Reveriano Ponce Ponce; and his sisters, Amalia Abreo and Victoria Ramirez. He is survived by: his wife Maria Landin Ponce; and his children, John Richard Ponce (Ruby Ponce), Elizabeth Ponce-Shull (Daniel Lopez), Francisco Landin Ponce (Emily Lopez), Joshua Mark Ponce, Saul Ponce (Linda Ponce), Teresa Smith (Rick Smith), Ranulfo Ponce (Rosario Ponce) and Griselda Ponce. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
