He is survived by: his parents, Maria Guadalupe Medrano and Jose Isidro Medrano; his wife Ofelia Monarez; his children, Jose Arturo, Daniel Eli, Ruben, Scarlett and Jessica Alejandro Medrano; his siblings, Margarita Martinez, Adelaida Medrano, Victor Medrano and Felicitas Medrano; and his grandsons, Arturo Leonel Medrano and Jose Elias Medrano.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Garza Memorial Funeral Home (1025 E Jackson St, Brownsville, TX 78520). A prayer was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
