He was predeceased by: his parents, Anacleto Cavazos Barron and Silvia Beiza De Cavazos; his brother Carmelo Heriberto Cavazos; and his grandmother Eutimea Pineda Pineda. He is survived by: his wife Leticia De Cavazos; his children, Silvia Cavazos (Christian Gutierrez), Brenda Maldonado (Eladio Maldonado), Claudia Cavazos (Ricardo Flores), Jesus Cavazos Jr. (Monica Cavazos) and Nellie Cavazos (Kevin Avila); and his grandchildren, Heriberto Maldonado, Ileana Maldonado, Itzel, Ricardo, Paulina, Jesus Jr., Diego, Melani, Bella and Nubia.

Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 12:00 PM. A prayer was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Chapel of Angels.
