It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jesus Alaniz of Brownsville, Texas, who passed away on February 12, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jorge Alaniz and Anita Cisneros; his siblings, Samuel, Jorge Alaniz and Juanita DeLeon; his former wife Alma Lockhart; his son-in-law Albert Esquivel; and his stepgrandchildren, Jacob and Jennifer Cadriel.
He is survived by: his children, Jesus (Adanela), Jessica and Julissa (Francisco "Paco" Lopez); his grandsons, Jacob, Joshua and Jonah Alaniz; his wife Cecilia Cadriel; his brothers, Lupe and Noe Alaniz; his stepgrandchildren, Ivette, Nacho, Tony, Joe Cadriel, Veronica Munoz and Marcy Fry; and his nephews, Rodney DeLeon, Gilbert Garces Jr., Roberto Daniel, Ricardo Alaniz and Ramon Villarreal. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A rosary was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Chapel of Angels (125 Mc Davitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens (4464 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX 78526).
