He was predeceased by: his parents, Genoveva Lopez and Edmundo Garcia; and his siblings, Gregorio Garcia, Eva Escobedo, Esperanza Garcia and Estela Garcia.
He is survived by: his wife Idalia Garcia; and his children, Idalia Cardenas (Jesus Mario), Ismael Garcia, Jr. (Magdalena), Edmundo Garcia (Blanca Alicia), Francisco Garcia (Kristine) and Blanca Garcia (Oscar). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Garza Memorial Funeral Home (1025 E Jackson St, Brownsville, TX 78520). A prayer was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
