He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Imelda Vigil; his parents, Herminia Perez Vigil and Daniel Vigil Hernandez; his brother Carlos Vigil Perez; and his brother-in-law Enrique Torres Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Vania Luzianne Vigil and Jose Refugio Vigil; and his sisters, Rosalinda Vigil (Juan Garza) and Aurora Vigil Torres.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A rosary was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 9:00 PM at the Chapel of Angels.
