He is survived by: his children, Blanca Johnson, Amelia Reyna, Belinda Parra, Maria Cisneros, Monica Parra, Patricia Parra, Jose Parra, Genaro Parra Jr., Oscar Parra, Alvaro Parra and Carlos Navarro; and his siblings, Amelia Heedick and Juan Manuel Morales.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A rosary was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Chapel of Peace. A Mass was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church (2645 Tulipan St., Brownsville, TX 78521). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Buena Vista Burial Park (5 Mc Davitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521).
