He was predeceased by: his father Ernesto Peña. He is survived by: his wife Ana Peña Oliva; his children, Marcoantonio Peña and Briana Beck (Nathan); his grandchildren, Austyn Beck, Raegan Beck and Blakely Beck; his siblings, Ernesto Peña Jr. (Bertha Alicia), Joel Peña (Sonya Alicia), Olivette Peña Fisher (Robert) and Melba Block (Steven); and also Maria Guadalupe Peña. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a charitable contribution to Donjas Dogs is appreciated.
