He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Nichols and Sallie Rebecca Walker (Hampton); and his sister Josephine Landtroop. He is survived by: his wife Kay Nichols of Brownsboro; his children, Mark Duncan (Holly) of Roanoke, Kristi Perkins (Dale) of Athens, Jamie Tidwell (Kelly) of Chandler, Holly Rankin (Carl) of Brownsboro and Mandi Nichols (Jonathon Barnes) of Tyler; and his siblings, Mary Keller (Calvin) of Tyler, Steve Nichols (Gail) of Tyler, Deannie Walden of Emory and Callie Morgan of Chandler.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christians United for Israel.
