He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Willie Herrera, Sr. and Matilde Herrera of Brownfield; his wife Jolanda Dominguez; his siblings, Guadalupe Herrera, Sr., Gilbert Herrera and Betty Herrera; his nephew Joe David Herrera; his granddaughter Lily Skye Herrera; his children, Monica of Brownfield, Deborah Herrera of Brownfield, Michael Herrera of Lubbock and Willie Adrian Herrera (Juliana) of Brownfield; his grandchildren, Avery of Brownfield, Noah of Brownfield, DeSaya of Brownfield, Abram of Brownfield, BeLah Magana of Brownfield, Micah of Brownfield and Matthias Herrera of Brownfield; and his siblings, Bobby Herrera, Rudy Herrera, David Herrera and Sally Herrera.
When event organizers would try to pay him for his work, he would donate these earnings back to the charity.
