He was predeceased by: his parents, Elton Goen and Oleta Goen of Floydada; his parents-in-law, Olen and Laura Little of Brownfield; and his son Randy Wood of Lubbock, Texas..
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Goen; his children, Scott Goen of San Antonio, Darin Goen of Boerne and Penny; his son-in-law Nathan Chandler of Brownfield; his brother Bob; his sister-in-law Joni Goen of McKinney; his siblings, Gary and Barbara Metcalf of Lubbock; his grandchildren, Lyndi, Natalie, Lauren, Joseph, Gracie, Woody, Katharine, Mason, Allie and Abby; his nieces, Tamie (Rick Hayes), Lisa (Jimmy Marta), Shanna (Mark Teusch), Kerry (Lonnie Covington) and Georgette (Tony Wright); and his great-nieces, Madison Kinder and Kennedy Van Voris (David).
A memorial service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Brownfield Funeral Home (120 W Tate St, Brownfield, TX 79316).
