She was predeceased by: her parents, William Starnes and Parlee Starnes; her husband Tommy Jay Pinkston; and her sisters, Betty Fitzgerald, Virginia "Dutch" McElory and Alice Roberts.
She is survived by: her children, Sam Skinner and Dr. Rebecca Lee Monroe; her grandchildren, Matt Skinner, Summer Russo, Brandy Peterson and Josh Wood; and her close friends, Angela Perez and Ross Taylor. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
