He is survived by: his sons, Mark Anthony Vela and Fernando Hernandez; and his siblings, Alicia Morin (Joe), Luis Hernandez (Gennie), Carlos Hernandez, Leticia Hernandez and Graciela Infante (Pedro). He is also survived by two granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
