It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona Margaret Schertz (Brownfield, Texas), born in Bernardo, Texas, who passed away on January 9, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Henneke and Josephine Kuhn Henneke; her husband Vincent Schertz; her son-in-law Ronnie Socha; her siblings, Marie Poenitzsch, Cecilia Luedeke, Aloies and Ebert Henneke; and her siblings-in-law, Alois Schertz and Mary Supak.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ann Socha Bird (Bill) and Lois Howard (Donnie); her grandchildren, Jennifer Hogue (Tim), Chris Howard (JJ), Mike Socha (Charlotte), Julie Socha, Scott Socha (Renee), Sarah Waters and John Socha; her great grandchildren, Kurt, Allison, Hunter, Holly, Spencer, Abby, Loy, Jacob, Liz, Zach, Maddie, Ava Kate, Claire, Holden, Jaydon, Garrett, Ethan, Dean, Addyson and Merrick; her great great grandchildren, Layla, Hazel and Harry; her brother Joe Henneke (Jocelyn); and her sister-in-law Cecilia Schertz. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
