He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Thompson and Reta Thompson; his daughter Carolyn Renee; his brother-in-law Gayland Ingram; and his father-in-law Stan Rimer.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Thompson of Lubbock; his children, Jeremy Thompson of Lubbock, Christy Puryear (Doug) of Brownfield, Tiffany Beeles (Shannon) of Lubbock, Justin Wooley of McKinney, Adam Wooley of Lubbock and Katie Billingsley (Roger) of Lubbock; his grandchildren, Ashton (Tate Beeles), Addison Wooley, Micah Puryear and Logan (Sadie Kauffman); his siblings, Darwin Thompson (Anna) of Artesia, NM and Debra Duncan of Autlan, Mexico; and his mother-in-law Ardeth Rimer of Lubbock. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
