He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Roosevelt Stokes and Vivian Isabella McKenzie Stokes; his sons, Tommy Wayne Stokes and Steve Buckley; his siblings, Allan Stokes, Arthur Stokes, Dorothy Martin, Barbara Young and Patsy Austin; and his stepchildren, Stephen Matthew Cornett and Dana Michele Green.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Stokes; his children, Brenda Stokes Ware, Rodney Stokes (Mary), Keith Stokes and Mike Stokes (Sherri); his daughters-in-law, Gail Stokes and Liz Buckley; his stepson Doug Cornett (Lynette); and his sister Louise Bufford. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
