He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Hughlett and Emma Hughlett; his former wife Opal "Tootsie" Hawkins; his daughter Rachel Hughlett; his stepchildren, Janeen Hackney and Guy McMahan; his nephew Mike Taylor; his uncle Ray; his aunt Opal Hughlett; his brother-in-law Elmer "Mitch" Mitchell; and his close friends, Rals Low and Donnie Pinson.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Hughlett; his daughter Jenna Eilert (Donny); his stepdaughter Shareé Brandon (David); his sons, Darron Hughlett (Rhea) and Damon Wiseman (Shoni); his stepdaughter Krisinda Smith (Chris); his stepson-in-law Andy Hackney; his stepson Greg McMahan (Julie); his stepdaughter-in-law Claire McMahan; his grandchildren, Lacie, Tallon, Bryan (Dagny), Alyssa (Houston), Drake, Chantry (Diana), Cody, Lynnli, Drew (Court), Jared, Kaden (Catherine), John, Bodie, Ronin and Meg; his sister Wanda Dell Mitchell; his nephew Mark Taylor (Lisa); and his nieces, Laranda Eakin (Ron) and Rene Bigham (Tregg). He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, numerous cousins and great-nephews and great-nieces.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brownfield Funeral Home (120 W Tate St, Brownfield, TX 79316). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
